I feel enormous pride and gratitude when I stop and think of the last two and a half decades, and of the progress that has been made. I could not be more proud of our incredibly talented people and the team spirit that exists throughout our company today.
Regardless of a founder’s best intentions, the old cliché still applies, you’re only as good as your team.
It is enormously pleasing to know that our company has positively affected so many employees lives. Many of our janitors, in some cases whole families, have been with Yorkshire for more than 20 years.
At the core of Yorkshires philosophy is a firm belief that all employees should be treated with the same level of respect that is shown to our customers. In return, cleaning personnel are loyal and motivated, with a positive attitude that shows in their performance every day.
Each year our growth continues and I know it’s due to our whole team, and the effort they put into the job.
Finally it is very gratifying to know that so many local companies have been satisfied Yorkshire customers for many years. Our philosophy, to always do the right thing for the customer, has been proven to pay dividends time and time again.
Leonidas (Leo) Avalo, Director of Operations
Leo has been with our company since 1992. He brings a wealth of experience and insight to Yorkshire from his days as a supervisor at one of the North East’s largest cleaning services.
Leo's knowledge of cleaning methods and solutions, his nonstop energy, his obliging manner and his organizational skills are a valuable asset for our company.
Janet Avalo, Regional Supervisor
Janet also joined our company in 1992. Janet’s involvement is in our day to day quality control operation. Janet advises and supervises our cleaning crews at customer sites, a role she mastered many years ago. She also interviews applicants and teaches our new employee class.
Many evenings Janet can be found making unannounced quality inspections. During the day, she is always available to quickly resolve any customer concerns.
Evelyn Cabral, Comptroller
Previously, Evelyn spent 11 years as an insurance and loan officer at a well-known bank. She has been with our company since 2007 and says she never wants to leave. Evelyn, we feel the same way about you.
Carlos Baez, Maintenance Service
Carlos has been with Yorkshire since 1996. When a job calls for rewiring, changing switches or replacing a bulb or a ballast, Carlos is the man. We are still waiting for an electrical problem that will stump Carlos.
